While I dance in the fields of my own fantasy
A slave to history as it replays
An ephemeral insanity
They told me to stay away, that I had no business
Yet here I am being turned away again
Apparently they never learned the word "Forgiveness"
They pray for me to leave and say 'Amen'
I'm called insane (But they merely can't understand)
But I cannot abstain (I try in vain.)
For my love is eternal (As is written in their journals)
I ask for nothing (Save my Elaine)
I walk alone down this empty street
Shackled by my own forgotten love
But I am not Meek.
They will not ignore me as I seek.
Its good to see you all. (Can't believe its you again!)

The Beginning.
These are the lyrics to a song that I am currently working on. They lack the spoken intro to the song that is still being constructed but are complete otherwise. This is the first set of lyrics that I have posted on Deviant art and I'm only doing so due to family encouraging me to. To be honest I didn't and don't want to post them anywhere because they're lyrics for a song I'm working on like I said and it feels like its an incomplete experience, anyway I hope you enjoy the read.
These lyrics are purely fictional for the record. I don't think I've ever met someone named Elaine. They are about a fictional character in a story I'm constructing for song purposes only. The characters in the songs will never be in a book, short story, comic, game, or anything that I am interested in making besides music.
Also, theories as to what exactly this is about are welcome in the comments below! But know that this is an incomplete story and there will be songs before and after this particular one. Oh, and the song will be metal. The closest thing I can think of sound wise (The whole song is already in my head...) is several Sonata Arctica songs, although the sound will still be quite different from that.
Also note that some lines may change.

Yes, this is good, deep and well thought out, I hear it like a Kamelot sound, kinda like The Haunting, my fave.
